“I hope so” Alex said as they rolled in. Alex rolled to the desk and smiled at the women behind it “Hello, yes I called earlier, I have an appointment with Toby regarding a service dog” The girl rolled her eyes and pressed a button, going back to filling her nails” Alex frowned “Hey now you don’t have to be such a bit-” “Hello there I am Toby” A Smiling older man said as he walked up shaking Alex’s hand
Artie watched them and almost said something to the receptionist. He looked as Toby came up and he smiled some and waited for Alex to say hello before introducing himself. “i think your receptionist could use a little work on her customer service skills.” He said and looked back smiling. “have a nice day.” he followed toby and Alex back into the office.
Toby laughed “I know, I’ll talk to her later” They all walked back to the ofice and Toby sat on the arm of a chair “So this is simple really, you just tell me what gender you want, sign some papers, I teach you the commands and then everything is all set” He smiled warmly “So tell m boys, boy or a girl?”
Artie smiled and looked at Toby. “we were thinking about a girl.” he grinned, taking ahold of Alex’s hand in his own. He watched as Toby nodded and went to get some paperwork for everybody to sign.
Alex smiled and nodded at Artie’s answer. Toby came back with the papers and Alex signed them quickly and handed them to Artie who read them slower and more carefully. Toby took the papers and lead the boys to the yard and whistled before yelling “ROSE” And a bright golden retriever came into sight.
